2020 has us all feeling a little upside down, right?!?! It is with heavy hearts that we make this announcement.
Covid-19 has created a situation none of us could have ever imagined. It was an incredibly difficult decision to make, but the GACX Board has decided to cancel the 2020 GACX Series. Considering local, state, and CDC guidelines and the impact they have on how we interact at races we feel like this is the best decision for everyone involved. While we are incredibly disappointed to not have the series, we anticipate there will still be a handful of races this fall, just not under the GACX Series umbrella. In the meantime, stay safe, help keep others safe, wear your mask, wash your hands, and keep your distance so we can get back to some bike racing safely sooner rather than later! #crossiscomingin2021 #gacxturns21in2021
Privateer Cyclocross is proud to host the 2019 Georgia Cyclocross opener. We’ve listened to your suggestions from last year and, as dutiful CX enthusiasts, we have complied. The flyover steps have been “de-steepened”. We’ve added three sections of “A-line or B-line”. Take the A-line if you dare. HandUp Gloves will be hosting the party pit once again and we’ll have free beer and free food and free fun, as always. So bring the friends and family and get the season started off right at Old Gray Barn.
Eeeek! We are stoked to have Stand & Hammer Cycling Co. working with us to create these awesome hats. Check out their website to pre-order. There are different style options and limited quantities available, so hurry over!
Hat’s should be ready mid to late October and can be shipped or picked up at a race.
The news is out! Jonathan Page himself is coming down to Georgia to lead a cyclocross clinic October 12-14th.
Jonathan Page is arguably the most decorated cyclocross racer America has ever seen. He won two U.S. Junior Cyclocross Championships and a U-23 Cyclocross Championship. In 2002, Jonathan moved to Belgium, the birthplace of cyclocross, to compete with the best in the world. He then went on to win four U.S. National Cyclocross Championships (2003-2004, 2007,2013) and a silver medal in the 2007 UCI World Cyclocross Championships. From 2002-2015, he podiumed every year of the U.S. National Cyclocross Championships. After an injuryplagued 2014 season, Jonathan proved he still had plenty of fight left—winning a silver medal at the 2015 U.S. National Cyclocross Championships (a flat tire holding him back from gold), followed by a number of podiums the following season.
Check out all the details on the clinic here.

We can barely contain our excitement! Cross is just around the corner and the unofficial opening of cross season with Brownwood Bike Rally in Atlanta has already happened. We can’t wait to see our cross family again next weekend and hope to see lots of new faces out there. A few things to note before the first race:
– We have a revised schedule with some new categories. Make sure to check the flyers!
– Just a little tease but we have shirts and hats coming this year! More details to come.
– There will be a drop race this year since there are less off weekends.
– Make sure your USA Cycling licenses are up to date before the first race and they reflect the category you want to race.
Are you interested in hosting a GACX race? If so shoot Elizabeth Lee an email (firstname.lastname@example.org) by Friday February 9th 2018 to get on the list. If you have been on the email list in the past no need to contact her again. But, if you are proposing a new course/venue please contact her. Let the 2018 planning commence! #crossiscoming #okayitskindafaraway #butwerestillexcited #crossisboss #gacx
